Welcome to the Western NSW Local Health District's careers website! Thank you for your interest in working with us and living in our great region. This website will give you a taste of the career and lifestyle opportunities our District offers.
We value our people who are delivering health services to our communities. Our people are at the centre of everything we do. If this sounds like you; we would love to have you on our team!
Working in our District gives you so much variety: something different to what you get from working in a metropolitan area. From a Trauma Doctor in Orange to a Community Nurse in Bourke; every day is different, allowing you to broaden your experience, develop and grow.
So, have a good look around this site and you will see for yourself the range of experiences we can offer, at every stage of your life; professionally, personally and financially. We can also offer diversity, a great lifestyle and we value family and a healthy work life balance.
Y not make it you!

Stages 1 & 2 of the $91 million redevelopment of Dubbo Hospital jointly funded with the NSW Government providing $83.9 million and the Australian Government contributing $7.1 million from the Commonwealth’s Health and Hospital’s Fund is upon us….
The redevelopment will secure Dubbo as the major rural referral centre and acute care hospital for specialty services to meet the growing demands in Dubbo and surrounding areas. It will provide a combination of new purpose built infrastructure and refurbishment works for the highest priority clinical services (including surgical, maternity and renal services).
We now need to attract and retain a highly skilled and motivated workforce to provide a higher standard of amenity for patients and carers.
Dubbo is a thriving and dynamic regional City that is home to over 40,000 people. Dubbo offers a breadth of high quality health, education, retail and professional services to meet all your needs. A quality lifestyle, affordable housing, career opportunities and education options combine to make Dubbo a great place to live. For more information on Dubbo click on the following links
